I Wish You Enough!

Contributed by Jerlin

Something Great for this seasons...

I WISH YOU ENOUGH.

Recently I overheard a mother and daughter in their last moments together at the airport. They had announced the departure. Standing near the security gate, they hugged and the mother said "I love you. I wish you enough." The daughter replied, "Mom, our life together has been more than enough. Your love is all I ever needed. I wish you enough, too, Mom." They kissed and the daughter left.

The mother walked over to the window where I was seated. Standing there I could see she wanted and needed to cry. I tried not to intrude on her privacy but she welcomed me in by asking "Did you ever say good-bye to someone knowing it would be forever?"

"Yes, I have," I replied. "Forgive me for asking, but why is this a forever good-bye?"

"I am old and she lives so far away. I have challenges ahead and the reality is--the next trip back will be for my funeral," she said.

"When you were saying good-bye, I heard you say 'I wish you enough.' May I ask what that means?"

She began to smile. "That's a wish that has been handed down from other generations. My parents used to say it to everyone." She paused a moment and looked up as if trying to remember it in detail, and she smiled even more.

"When we said 'I wish you enough' we were wanting the other person to have a life filled with just enough good things to sustain them." Then turning toward me she shared the following as if she were reciting it from memory...

I wish you enough sun to keep your attitude bright. I wish you enough rain to appreciate the sun more. I wish you enough happiness to keep your spirit alive. I wish you enough pain so that the smallest joys in life appear much bigger. I wish you enough gain to satisfy your wanting. I wish you enough loss to appreciate all that you possess. I wish you enough hellos to get you through the final good-bye.

She then began to sob and walked away. They say it takes a minute to find a special person, an hour to appreciate them, a day to love them, but then an entire life to forget them.

Share this to the people you will never forget and remember. If you don't share it to anyone it may mean that you are in such a hurry that you have forgotten your friends.

TAKE TIME TO LIVE...

My friends and Loved Ones, I WISH YOU ENOUGH!!!

I wish you enough SMILE to share it with everyone you meet each day, I wish you enough to SHARE every single moment with your Love ones, I wish you enough to dare to FOUND your Life Partner for this Life, I wish you enough CARES for your Parent and continue to Shower them with all your LOVE!!!

I WISH YOU ENOUGH!!!

The Power of Belief

Contributed by Jelin Chu The Power of Belief

How many times have you used excuses to rationalize your way out of success?

Zig Ziglar calls the phenomenon "Stinkin' Thinkin'" and warns us about "hardening of the attitudes." Wilma Rudolph is an example of how an undying belief in one-self can be the catalyst to overcoming problems.

Polio took a toll on Wilma as a child. For six years she wore braces and could not walk, but she believed the braces would someday come off. The doctor was doubtful Wilma would ever walk correctly, but he encouraged her to exercise. Wilma didn't understand that she might be permanently handicapped. She thought that if a little exercise was good, a lot must be very good. When her parents were away, Wilma would take off the braces and try again and again to walk unaided.

When she was eleven, she told her doctor, "I have something to show you." Wilma removed her braces and walked across the room. She never put them on again. Wilma wanted to play sports. After some false starts at basketball, she finally confronted her coach, saying, "If you give me ten minutes a day, I will give you in return a world-class athlete." The coach laughed uncontrollably but agreed to give Wilma the time. When basketball season was over, Wilma turned to track.

By age fourteen she was on the track team, and by sixteen she was encouraged to prepare for the Olympics. Wilma Rudolph won a bronze medal at the 1956 Olympics and three gold medals at the 1960 Games.

Belief in yourself and hard work can make you a world-class individual in whatever area you choose. What will you have if you give up? What can you have if you keep on trying?

Career or Job ?

Hi friends

Remember last blog we mention "Btw, whats the difference between a career and a job? The same? Well maybe...watch out for the next issue which we will be discussing. "

Well, for my definition, a job is just like a 9 to 5 thingy. You wake up, hoping for another 5min sleep, bath, breakfast, then go to work, hoping lunch come fast, then go lunch, then back to work, about 5pm standby mode, times up, go home. If worse, do OT or even bring work back to home. At times, you will complain that you don't have enough salary, or complaining about your bosses or colleagues or even customers.

Ask yourself, do you really love and don't mind do forever at your current job ? If u hope for a better, most likely u doing a job.

A career however will be something like this. Ask yourself a question. What are the things you would love to do even if there is no income ? Tough question? Of course money is important but don't we hope that one day we don't have to work for money and let money work for us. So isn't it better to start thinking about that now ?

If you already had a Career, Congrats to you. :>

These are a few guidelines from my mentors about what are the characteristics of the career they would like to have

1) Can control own time
2) Can travel around the world
3) Can grow and learn new things
4) Can contribute to the society
5) Income increase as more efforts are put in

What about yours ?

How much are u worth per hour?

Have u thought about it in the first place?

......

How to calculate how much you are worth per hour?

(a) Your Total Salary Per Month: _________
(b) Total Hours Spend on your Job? _______
$ Per hour = (a) / (b)

For example.
A person name Tim works from Monday to Friday 9am to 6pm. Thats 9 hrs per day, 45 hours per week (9X5). His monthly salary is $2250. Therefore his income per hour (IPH)is rated as $50 per hour. (Assuming he does not do OT)

Another person name Tom works from Monday to Friday (Weekdays 9am to 6pm,Weekend 9am to 1pm. Thats about 49 hours. His monthly salary is also 2250. Therefore his IPH is $45.92.

Well..obviously Tim has a better IPH. And of course there are other factors involved in choosing a Job. But the truth question is about yourself. What is your IPH?

Btw, whats the difference between a career and a job? The same? Well maybe...watch out for the next issue which we will be discussing.

************************************

Guess whats the total value of the money below ? Wouldnt it be wonderful if those are yours? Do you really want to earn it or just saying for fun?

What if we only need 3-6 hours a week and u can achieve it? You will know who to look for if you really wish to learn how to achieve it.

Have a great days ahead.

Ps: Xmas is coming

Do you love your EYES?

About 20 years ago when im just a little kid, i always wonder, which part of my body would i love and cherish the most. Of course i love every parts of myself but there is just this part nothing in this world i would exchange with, its the eyes.

Why the eyes you would ask ? Simply logic, we were train by our eyes to do things. When we were young, we started to recognise things by pictures. Cow pictures - Cow.....Horse pictures - Horse. You get it, dont you? And when there are cases of blackout in Singapore, you will find most people feeling uncomfortable or panicky. Because we are not used to in the dark, unless we're going to bed of course.

Later in the stage of my life, i realise that our eyes can talk. Not just like winking at girls / guys, but it acts like an indication of our health condition. If our cars has indicators stating that our gases or petrol is about to finish, then human indicator would be our eyes.

If you had seen the inside of a computer, you would have seen a lot of wiring and connection. Our body, just like a computer, has wirings and this wirings we call it veins. If your wife pinch you on your hand, u would feel pain on your hand and not your legs right?

Therefore, doing a IRIS Scanning does help. See hows yr body condition is now and how it will be in the future. Below are some pictures of Iris Scanning.

If you dont understand, its ok because neither do i. However i know some experts who knows the answers. Interesting isnt it that our eyes can talk.

IRISCANNING is finally here !

"EYES can talk ", we hear this phrase at least once in a while.

What is Iridology?
Iridology is the study of the iris to diagnose disease. Iridology is based on the questionable assumption that every organ in the human body has a corresponding location within the iris and that one can determine whether an organ is healthy or diseased by examining the iris rather than the organ itself. In layman term, your eyes are your doctor. They will know whats wrong with you.

This is a joke about Chinese names...

Caller : Hello, can I speak to Annie Wan? (anyone)

Operator : Yes, you can speak to me.

Caller: No, I want to speak to Annie Wan!

Operator: You are talking to someone! Who is this?

Caller: I'm Sam Wan (someone) And I need to talk to Annie Wan! It's urgent.

Operator: I know you are someone and you want to talk to anyone! But what's this urgent matter about?

Caller: Well... just tell my sister Annie Wan that our brother Noel Wan (no one) was involved in an accident. Noel Wan got injured and now Noel Wan is being sent to the hospital. Right now, Avery Wan is on his way to the hospital.

Operator: Look if no one was injured and no one was sent to the hospital, then the accident isn't an urgent matter! You may find this hilarious but I don't have time for this!

Caller: You are so rude! Who are you?

Operator: I'm Saw Lee. (sorry)

Samy Vellu was visiting India when he fell and broke his jaw.

He was unable to speak. Being the great leader that he is, he continued his grand tour.

On the last week of his visit, the RTM crew was present for his press conference.

Although unable to speak, Samy insisted on sending a message home to his Cabinet colleagues. Samy caught a chicken and showed it to the camera. Next he took a goat, and showed it to the camera. Finally he took a bag and displayed it in front of the camera.

Dr. Ling was the first to see the video clip. He said, "Samy is telling us that India has insufficient food because he showed us a chicken and a goat, and he wants Malaysia to donate bags of rice.

Mahathir watched silently then said, "No lah.... what Samy is trying to say is HE IS COMING BACK."

The whole cabinet was puzzled and look to the old man for an explanation.

Mahathir reasoned, "AYAM KAMBING BAG." ("I am coming back" in Indian accent)

Fact about Life - George Carlin

Contributed by Jelin Chu

George Carlin was an American comedian of the 70's and 80's. He was known to be a little foul-mouthed and it is fascinating that after the death of his wife and 9-11 he would write the following.

A wonderful Message by George Carlin

The paradox of our time in history is that we have taller buildings but shorter tempers, wider freeways, but narrower viewpoints. We spend more, but have less, we buy more, but enjoy less. We have bigger houses and smaller families, more conveniences, but less time. We have more degrees but less sense, more knowledge, but less judgment, more experts, yet more problems, more medicine, but less wellness.

We drink too much, smoke too much, spend too recklessly, laugh too little, drive too fast, get too angry, stay up too late, get up too tired, read too little, watch TV too much, and pray too seldom. We have multiplied our possessions, but reduced our values. We talk too much, love too seldom, and hate too often.

We've learned how to make a living, but not a life. We've added years to life not life to years. We've been all the way to the moon and back, but have trouble crossing the street to meet a new neighbor. We conquered outer space but not inner space. We've done larger things, but not better things.

We've cleaned up the air, but polluted the soul. We've conquered the atom, but not our prejudice. We write more, but learn less. We plan more, but accomplish less. We've learned to rush, but not to wait. We build more computers to hold more information, to produce more copies than ever, but we communicate less and less.

These are the times of fast foods and slow digestion, big men and small character, steep profits and shallow relationships. These are the days of two incomes but more divorce, fancier houses, but broken homes. These are days of quick trips, disposable diapers, throwaway morality, one night stands, overweight bodies, and pills that do everything from cheer, to quiet, to kill. It is a time when there is much in the showroom window and nothing in the stockroom. A time when technology can bring this letter to you, and a time when you can choose either to share this insight, or to just hit delete.

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

HOW TO STAY YOUNG

1. Throw out nonessential numbers. This includes age, weight and height. Let the doctor worry about them. That is why you pay him/her.

2. Keep only cheerful friends. The grouches pull you down.

3. Keep learning. Learn more about the computer, crafts, gardening, whatever. Never let the brain idle. " An idle mind is the devil's workshop." And the devil's name is Alzheimer's.

4. Enjoy the simple things.

5. Laugh often, long and loud. Laugh until you gasp for breath.

6. The tears happen. Endure, grieve, and move on. The only person who is with us our entire life, is ourselves. Be ALIVE while you are alive.

7. Surround yourself with what you love, whether it's family, pets, keepsakes, music, plants, hobbies, whatever. Your home is your refuge.

8. Cherish your health: If it is good, preserve it. If it is unstable, improve it. If it is beyond what you can improve, get help.

9. Don't take guilt trips. Take a trip to the mall, to the next county, to a foreign country, but NOT to where the guilt is.

10. Tell the people you love that you love them, at every opportunity.

AND ALWAYS REMEMBER:

Life is not measured by the number of breaths we take, but by the moments that take our breath away.

-George Carlin

Peace of Mind

If you were to ask your neighbour,"What would give you peace of mind?" he might tell you,"A vacation in Bermuda!" or "An extra hundred grand would give me peace!", or "A new Ferrari would make me content!"

But going places and getting stuff is usually a temporary solution...Let's say you buy a lottery ticket and by some miracle you win your dream Ferrari. Today you are content. Tomorrow you are saying, "If I could just catch that little punk who scratched it in the car park!" Peace of mind rarely comes from getting more stuff. Getting more stuff usually leads to wanting even more stuff!

Peace of mind starts with being grateful for what you have right now.,"GRATITUDE is POWER , and here's why ...When you are thankful for what you have - for the friends you have, and for the things you've got, you attract more good people and good things.

People who always complain about what they DON'T HAVE , stay stuck. Complainers attract more things to complain about! It is a law of life. It's hard to explain, but you can observe it around you. We get more of what we dwell upon. That's why all the spiritual masters have taught the same lesson...

"Start by being thankful. Be happy with what you have now, and more will come your way." It's practical advice.

IN A NUTSHELL

Every time you say a silent "thank you" you become more peaceful - and more powerful.

Blessing you, folks!

A Successful Relationship

A boy was born to a couple after 11 years of marriage. They were a loving couple and the boy was the apple of their eye.

When the boy was around two years old, one morning the husband saw a medicine bottle open. He was late for work so he asked his wife to cap the bottle and keep it in the cupboard. His wife, preoccupied in the kitchen, totally forgot about the matter.

The boy saw the bottle and playfully went to the bottle and fascinated by its color, drank it all. It happened to be a poisonous medicine meant for adults in small dosages. When the child collapsed, the mother hurried him to the hospital, where he died.

The mother was stunned. She was terrified how to face her husband. When the distraught father came to the hospital and saw the dead child, he looked at his wife and uttered just four words.

QUESTIONS:(Email me yr answer & i'll mail u actual ans)

1. What were the four words?

2. What is the implication of this story?

Power of Daily Habit - Matt Furey

Contribute by Jelin Chu

My son loves to draw. When we go to the beach he'll spend hours coloring and drawing. He will literally fill an entire notebook in an evening. Then he'll get up, staple the pages together and say, "Daddy, here's my new book."

He'll have his name on the cover - and a few words sprinkled throughout that explain some of his drawings. He's proud of what he has created - and so am I.

Then he wants to know when he'll be a really, really good artist. And that's when I break the news to him.

"You can become great in anything you want,"I tell him. "But not without practice. The real key to greatness is practice. Anyone can form a goal, but training is what makes the difference.

"I then explain to him that you don't even need to practice "all day long" to become great."Most people never practice," I said. "They don't train. But if you put in 30 minutes a day on something, you can become good, no matter who you are. And if you spend more time than that you can become truly great."

"Why thirty minutes a day," my son asked.

"Because when you develop a good dally habit you are like a person who is saving stamps. If you collect stamps everyday, after a few years you'll have hundreds of stamps. Practice of anything is the same way. When you do it everyday you're collecting skill, you're collecting energy. And as the energy builds a bit each day, pretty soon you've got something."

"But I want to be really good at this," he said.

"If you have the desire - and that's the key word - the DESIRE, then you'll also take the time to practice. To say you want it is one thing. You must PROVE you want it by practice."It's easy to think this story is nothing more than a story for my son - yet that would be wrong. In today's day and age, we are presented with more opportunities to learn new skills than at any other time in history. Yet, so many people were never taught the secret of practice. Not only that, they've never been taught that the most important skills to learn and practice are the skill of 'thinking' - the skill of mental picturing, the skill of using your creative imagination, the skill of ramping up your level of desire, the skill of positive self-talk, the skill of confidence - and so on.

All of these skills are the "glue" that binds you to a goal and makes the achievement of it not only possible, but highly probable.

Best,
Matt Furey ^-^

LIVER HEALTH

Lungs & big intestines share the system, if one or the other is infected or sick, the other will also be sick.

When the Liver is in pain, there is not much signs or symptoms to be detected. Before many cancers happen, usually the Liver will be the first to get sick.

Liver filters out the poisons and attacks all other viruses in the body.

99% Chinese have weak livers as they eat a lot of meat, and high fat foods.

The Liver's repair time is effective from 11pm - 3am. Therefore, sleeping late after 11pm & Having late night supper 2 hours before sleep especially high cholesterol and high fat foods weakens the Liver as it does not have sufficient time to rest and regenerate. Even when one sleeps in later in the morning to replace loss sleep will not help.

If you get very hungry just before bedtime, eat some fruits & vegetables which is easy to digest. Meat takes about 4 hours to digest before it goes into the intestines. Meat cooked in oil takes about 12 hours before going into the intestines. This will provoke the Liver & the digestive tract to overwork in filtering the toxins thus you will tend to feel very tired when you wake up in the morning.

Oil is the main culprit that will weaken the functions of the Liver and damage it. Medication cannot cure Liver problem and it will damage it even further.

Cold-pressed Olive oil, carrot, cucumber, raw chili, garlic, onion, little bamboo salt/sea-salt, radish, pumpkin and small fish are good for the body. Sesame oil is ok.

Food-preservatives, Food colourings, Bee Hoon is processed with Aluminium (causes Dementia), Bleach, syrup, Pesticides are bad for Liver health.

Wrong medication can shrink and damage the Liver badly. Radiation from microwave oven destroys all nutrients in the food.

Western medication is bad for the Liver. Chinese medication is bad for kidney. White radish will disable the effects of the Chinese medication.

Sleeping late for children is unhealthy as it weakens memory and intelligence.

Best Healthy times to sleep is 9pm especially so for people who is sick or recovering from it and do not sleep later than 11pm. Lots of rest is good for the Liver to recover. When using eye-cover during bed-time, use only pure-cotton and do not use Rubber, latex material.

A Detoxification Diet helps the Liver & Intestines to recover fast. Natural fresh foods are best for the Liver and overall well being. Do not rely on packed, bottled or canned health foods/vitamins as they lack a lot of natural and essential vitamins which can only be derived from pure, unprocessed natural foods.

A balance of mental/emotional state of mind is very important to the total well-being. Too much Stress of all kinds, loud noises/music, anger, irritation suppressed for too long, pessimism, depressive moods, no goals in life, feeling life has no value or blaming the world & everyone else for his life will further weaken the body system. When the Liver is unhealthy, the Person usually has a bad temper and gets easily angered or irritated.

Giving out gas, perspiration and urine are ways of purging out the toxins from the body.

Do not use too much of air-conditioners as they suppress the body from perspiration. This natural way of purging helps to reduce the load of the Liver. Open the windows for fresh air.
